Organizational context

Our client operates a factory that specializes in the manufacturing of custom parts for the transportation sector. A few years ago, it began a repositioning process which led it to merge its operations with another player in the industry. After having invested in the automation of certain aspects of its production, it now wishes to consolidate its organization thanks to its human resources.

Job specification

The position holder will have a great challenge: evaluate all employees, redefine training programs with a view to optimizing skills, prepare the succession plan, validate commitment and mobilization. In short, the mandate is to truly align talent with the new business structure and ensure that we are always proactive since the order book is well stocked and a lack of talent would compromise the achievement of targets.

The management committee is innovative and supportive of best practices, in terms of human, financial and environmental resources. The turnover rate has also been low for several years because corporate actions reveal respect and sincerity. Communications are one of the key elements of this success.

You will be a partner of choice by providing your expertise and HR material in order to update the complete cycle of the employee experience. You demonstrate leadership and know how to present data based on new employee expectations. You demonstrate openness and creativity and seek to identify the elements that unite the objectives of each department in order to promote fruitful collaboration.

You are an ambassador and you do not hesitate to represent your organization to the business and community communities. You want your environment to be representative and stay on the lookout for transformations in society that will have an impact.

This role reports to the President and you will be part of the management committee.

Required profile

  • University degree in human resources
  • 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Willingness to participate in organizational change resulting from a merger
  • A skillset that makes you an agent of change
