As part of its growth and financial performance, the company is looking for a Plant Controller to oversee accounting and financial activities, optimize processes, and support management in strategic decision-making.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Controller plays a key role in the financial management of the South Shore plant. He or she supervises accounting and financial activities, ensures the reliability and compliance of information, and provides analyses to support strategic decision-making.

Main responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations and financial closings.
• Prepare and present financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting, tax, and regulatory standards.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls.
•  Analyze financial performance and advise management.
• Supervise and support the development of the accounting team.
• Optimize and develop processes and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department. 
• Mobilize and develop the skills of team members while fostering a collaborative and enjoyable environment. 

The ideal candidate has a university degree in accounting, finance, or administration, as well as a CPA designation and 5 to 10 years of experience in accounting and financial control, ideally in a manufacturing environment. Rigorous and results-oriented, he or she combines analytical skills, motivational leadership, proactivity, creativity, effective communication skills, and the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms, and knows how to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment.
