In a context of growth and production optimization, our client is looking to strengthen its planning team. This strategic role, Head of Planning, aims to ensure better integration between demand, manufacturing capacity, and inventory management in order to guarantee reliability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Job specification
Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the incumbent is responsible for production planning for all manufacturing sites. He or she supervises a team of about ten people spread across the various plants, ensures consistency in methods, and oversees the effectiveness of planning practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining the master production plan based on forecasts and capacity.
- Optimizing inventory management and working with procurement to avoid shortages or surpluses.
- Coordinating with production, logistics, and sales to ensure alignment of priorities.
- Supervising the planning team and promoting continuous process improvement.
- Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and proposing corrective actions.
Required profile
The ideal candidate will have a university degree in supply chain management, production, administration, or a related field. They will have at least seven years of experience in production planning in a manufacturing environment, as well as experience in team management or functional supervision.
Known for their thoroughness and organizational skills, they are proficient in ERP/MRP systems and have a strong understanding of planning techniques. Their motivational leadership, ability to manage multiple priorities, and communication skills enable them to work effectively with different departments.
