In a context of growth and production optimization, our client wishes to strengthen its planning team. This strategic role, that of Production Planning Master Planner, aims to ensure better integration between demand, manufacturing capacity, and inventory management, in order to guarantee reliability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Job specification

Reporting to the Director of Supply and Planning, the incumbent is responsible for production planning for the Montreal plant. They manage a team of 5, consisting of a Planner and 4 clerks, ensure consistency in methods, and oversee the effectiveness of planning practices.

His main responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain the master production plan based on forecasts and capacity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the same capacity for the group's other 2 manufacturing plants, in order to share best practices and standardize processes.
  • Optimize inventory management and collaborate with the supply department to avoid stockouts or surpluses.
  • Coordinate with production, logistics and sales to ensure alignment of priorities.
  • To guide the planning team and promote continuous process improvement.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and propose corrective actions.

Required profile

The ideal candidate holds a university degree in supply chain management, production, administration, or a related field. They have a minimum of five years of experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment, and experience in team leadership or functional supervision.

Known for his rigor and organizational skills, he is proficient in ERP/MRP systems and has a strong understanding of planning techniques. His inspiring leadership, ability to manage multiple priorities, and communication skills enable him to work effectively in collaboration with various departments.
