Our client is a well-established wholesale distributor in the plumbing, heating, and fire protection sectors. The company serves a client base of contractors in the residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial markets through an extensive network of service locations and a range of specialized products.
In light of its growth and following a planned retirement, the organization is seeking an Assistant Sales Director, Heating Products, to support the development of this division and contribute to its sales performance.
Job specification
Reporting to the Director of Sales and Customer Experience, the incumbent plays an active role in the growth and profitability of the heating division. Working closely with the sales teams and manufacturing partners, this person helps identify business opportunities, develop strategic accounts, and position the company’s offerings in the market.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting the implementation of the heating division’s growth strategies
- Leading and developing a team of technical specialists
- Supporting sales representatives in developing sales and major accounts
- Maintaining strong business relationships with customers and industry partners
- Contributing to the sharing of technical expertise and the positioning of our offerings
Required profile
The candidate has a relevant college or university degree and significant experience in B2B sales, including experience in management or team leadership. Knowledge of the heating market or a related sector is a significant asset.
Recognized for their business acumen and ability to build lasting relationships with customers and partners, they thrive in a technical and collaborative environment. Bilingualism is required to interact with manufacturers and partners across Canada.
