Organizational context

Our client is a leader in the tailor-made products industry, mainly destined for the hotel and wellness (B2B) sectors and serves customers mainly in Quebec and Ontario. Renowned for the quality of its products and its excellent customer service, this Quebec-based SME, which has been in business for several decades, is creating a new position of National Sales Director to support its anticipated growth.

It is looking to accelerate its development by optimizing its current strategies and adding an additional key resource to identify new growth opportunities and join its management committee.

Job specification

Reporting to the CEO, this person will be responsible for planning, managing, and developing the complete sales cycle at the national level. The primary mandate of this role will be to establish and implement, in conjunction with the Executive Committee, development strategies to achieve organizational objectives. Together with his/her team, the Director will identify business opportunities by analyzing, for example, the geographical potential and/or the various opportunities (calls for tender) to be targeted and will develop the best initiatives to be tested.

He/she will also ensure constant collaboration and communication with other departments (purchasing, marketing), as they will also be responsible for the success of projects and customer satisfaction.

Essentially, this Director will be responsible for :

-Supporting and developing the sales team

-Identify, solicit, and promote the company to potential new customers

-Implement new sales strategies and processes to improve results

-Analyze potential markets and monitor the competition

-Ensure intelligent sales growth by promoting constant communication with other departments and the CEO

Required profile

The desired profile is a business development and sales professional, with a minimum of 8 to 10 years' experience ideally in a similar role (knowledge of the hotel industry will be considered an asset). You are recognized for your communication skills (in English and French), and your ability to understand customer needs and identify opportunities. You also have an entrepreneurial nature and are a natural leader who can motivate, inspire, and support your team in achieving results, as well as in their respective professional development.
