Our customer distributes specialized products to various markets in Eastern Canada through its branches. It represents over 200 manufacturers and is truly THE point of reference for its customers. 

Job specification

To meet the business objectives linked to the growth strategy, we wish to attract a HR Director to lay the foundations of a department that will cater to the needs of approximately 120 non-unionized employees.

Your main responsibilities:

o Implement policies, procedures, and programs that will equip your team leaders in their management responsibilities and foster talent development.

o Recruit, train, and develop employees while nurturing an inclusive and collaborative work environment

o Provide tools for managing employee-employer relations, thereby reducing annoyances, and contributing to greater mobilization.

o Ensure compliance with various occupational health and safety standards

o Offer support/advice to managers

o Establish performance indicators, including employee satisfaction, quality of HR services, budget, and schedule compliance.

o Promote activities to consolidate a collaborative and harmonious work life

Required profile

You have a university degree in HR or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years experience as a human resources generalist (CHRP title would be considered an asset). You have excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, and you are a team player. You are determined, resourceful, autonomous, structured, and methodical. You are valued for your positive leadership, your ability to influence, and your understanding of HR issues. Finally, you are discreet and empathetic.
